Largest attack on Moscow sees Ukraine fire hundreds of drones, mayor says
Ukraine hit Moscow's main oil refinery and a residential building in its largest ever drone attack on the Russian capital, killing at least two people in the region.
Moscow's mayor says 450 drones were downed during the overnight barrage, in which two people died.
Ukraine launched its biggest drone barrage on the Moscow region, with 450 drones shot down and two people killed in the capital's wider area.
Three key units at Moscow's main oil refinery were damaged, a site that supplies over a third of the region's petrol, diesel and aviation fuel.
The attack coincided with the final day of Russia's wartime parliamentary election, which Ukraine's strikes were described as an attempt to disrupt.
The targeted Moscow refinery supplies more than a third of the region's fuel, and Ukraine says damaging it directly undermines Russia's ability to supply its military.
