About Room Sort

Room Sort is a floor-plan puzzle. An empty outline of a house is shown, along with a set of rooms of various shapes. Drag every room into the outline so that they all fit together perfectly with no gaps and no overlaps. It is a jigsaw made of rectangles, and later levels add more rooms and trickier outlines.

The puzzle is endless: levels keep coming and keep getting harder. Free in your browser, with drag controls that work on touch and mouse.

How to play Room Sort

  1. Drag a room from the tray into the floor plan.
  2. Rooms snap to the grid. Move them again if they do not sit right.
  3. Every room must be placed and the outline completely filled.
  4. Finish a level to move on to the next, larger house.

A new puzzle is published every morning, Sydney time, and signed-in members keep their streaks and scores across devices.

Questions about Room Sort

Can I rotate a room?
Rooms are placed as shown. Finding where each shape belongs is the puzzle.
Is there a level limit?
No. Levels are generated endlessly and get progressively harder.
What if a room does not fit?
Drag it back to the tray and try another spot. Nothing is locked in.
