About Memory

Memory, also called Pairs or Concentration, is the card matching game you played as a child. All the cards start face down. Turn two over at a time; if they match, they stay face up, if not, they flip back and you try to remember where they were. Clear every pair in as few turns and as little time as you can.

It is a gentle daily workout for short-term memory and concentration. Choose a grid size to suit your mood and play free in your browser on any device.

How to play Memory

  1. Tap a card to flip it, then tap a second card.
  2. A matching pair stays face up. A mismatch flips both back after a moment.
  3. Remember where you saw each picture so you can pair it later.
  4. Match every pair to finish. Fewer turns and a faster time score better.

Questions about Memory

How many cards are there?
It depends on the difficulty you pick: six, twelve or eighteen pairs.
Is Memory good for the brain?
Games like this exercise short-term recall and attention. They are enjoyable practice rather than a treatment.
Is there a daily challenge?
Yes. Each grid size has its own leaderboard that resets every day. The cards are shuffled for every game, so it tests your memory rather than a layout you have seen before.
