About MugSweeper

MugSweeper turns Minesweeper on its head. Instead of avoiding mines you are hunting coffee mugs hidden under the grid. Each number tells you how many mugs touch that square. Use the clues to work out exactly where every mug is and tap them all, without tapping an empty square by mistake.

It is a daily logic puzzle with the same board for every player, so you can compare your solve time. Free in your browser, no download.

How to play MugSweeper

  1. Numbers show how many mugs sit in the eight surrounding squares.
  2. Tap a square when you are sure it hides a mug.
  3. Mark squares you know are empty to keep your reasoning tidy.
  4. Find every mug to finish. Three wrong taps and the round ends.

A new puzzle is published every morning, Sydney time, and signed-in members keep their streaks and scores across devices.

Questions about MugSweeper

Three. A fourth wrong tap ends the game.
