Review the grid of 16 words and select four items that share a specific, hidden connection or category.

About The Link

The Link is a daily word grouping puzzle. Sixteen words are laid out in a grid, and your job is to sort them into four groups of four that share a hidden connection. The catch is that several words could plausibly belong to more than one group, so the puzzle is as much about ruling things out as spotting the obvious.

The groups range from easy to fiendish, and the connections are written for Australian players: our slang, our brands, our shows. One new puzzle every day, free, in your browser.

How to play The Link

  1. Tap four words you think belong together, then submit.
  2. A correct group locks in and is coloured by difficulty. A wrong group costs one of your four mistakes.
  3. Use shuffle to see the words in a new order when you are stuck.
  4. Find all four groups before you run out of mistakes to complete the day.

A new puzzle is published every morning, Sydney time, and signed-in members keep their streaks and scores across devices.
