About Word Steps
Word Steps is a word ladder. Start at one word and reach the target word by changing a single letter at a time, and every rung of the ladder must be a real word. CAT to DOG might go CAT, COT, DOT, DOG. The daily puzzle sets the start and finish; the fewest steps wins.
Word ladders were invented by Lewis Carroll and remain one of the best quick vocabulary puzzles there is. A new ladder every morning, free in your browser.
